Connie Abarikwu, MD

Connie Abarikwu, MD

You would think that after 20 years of practicing Internal Medicine, there would not be much about the human body to still amaze Dr. Abarikwu. Not so! She continues to be “in awe of the body and its resilience” and has great respect for the process of aging and our elderly population. She also has a special interest in female care and gynecological issues.

As you would expect, Dr. Abarikwu finds Internal Medicine “challenging, yet rewarding and fulfilling.” Viewing it and other primary care specialties as “the foundation for all medical care,” she is proud to be part of the “foundation team” and honored to help prepare the next generation of internist physicians.

Those physicians, she notes, face a new world of medicine. That’s thanks to something else that amazes Dr. Abarikwu: what can be accomplished with just one tool as the health care world becomes more computerized.
