With more than 30 years of diverse experience in healthcare, Todd LaPorte leads an integrated health system with five acute-care hospitals, extensive outpatient services and community services.
To advance HonorHealth's mission to improve the health and well-being of the community, he creates an expectation for every team member – more than 17,000 clinical and support employees, volunteers and physicians – to make every decision based on what’s best for the patient, one patient at a time.
Since joining HonorHealth in 2001, he’s held executive roles where he focused on financial and strategic leadership, most recently as executive vice president and chief administrative officer. He’s shaped a system with many access points to provide convenience for patients. He’s promoted innovative technologies and engaged employees and physicians to enhance the patient experience.
In April 2017, Todd became the 10th CEO in more than 150 years of HonorHealth history.
Prior to HonorHealth, he held senior management roles for an international CPA firm that served many Arizona healthcare clients as well as clients in high-tech manufacturing and consumer services. He was also the CFO of a privately held healthcare company that served over a half million Arizonans.
Todd was named CFO of the Year by the Arizona chapter of the Financial Executives International in 2012 and was recognized by Becker's Hospital Review as one of the "125 Hospital and Health System CFOs to Know" in 2013.
He holds a bachelor's degree in business from the University of Arizona and an MBA from Arizona State University.
Todd has served as board chair for a chapter of Big Brothers/Big Sisters, the nationally acclaimed Scottsdale Aquatic Club and the Paradise Valley School District’s supporting Foundation for Public Education.
Wendy Crawford leads talent acquisition, retention, employee development, benefits/compensation, employee relations, people strategy, and marketing and communications for HonorHealth employees and physicians. She's strongly focused on attracting and keeping a talented workforce to provide the best patient care and support of patient care as well as engaging employees, community members and physicians through compelling communications.
Wendy has more than 30 years’ experience as a human resources executive and consultant in a wide range of healthcare organizations, including Scripps Health in San Diego and SSM Health in St. Louis. Her expertise includes executive coaching, strategic planning, leadership development, innovative problem solving and process improvements.
She holds a bachelor’s degree in psychology from Indiana University and a master’s degree in administration and management from the University of Michigan.
Shannon Fox Fraser, is Senior Vice President, General Counsel for HonorHealth, where she has served as an in-house attorney since 2015. Shannon also serves as Secretary of the HonorHealth Board of Directors.
In her role, Shannon oversees the full range of legal and business issues facing an integrated healthcare system, including corporate governance, mergers and acquisitions, strategic initiatives, risk management, labor and employment, medical staff, managed care, privacy and compliance, corporate transactions, contracting, intellectual property, litigation, and regulatory and accreditation matters, among others.
Prior to joining HonorHealth, Shannon worked for over 15 years in the western suburbs of Chicago as in-house counsel at Edward Health Services Corporation and Edward-Elmhurst Health, where she served in various legal and compliance-related capacities during her tenure, including Chief Privacy Officer.
Shannon received her joint juris doctorate and master’s in business administration degree from the Chicago-Kent College of Law – Illinois Institute of Technology, and her Bachelor’s degree from Illinois State University. Shannon is a member of the American Health Lawyers Association and the Arizona Society of Healthcare Attorneys.
John Ferree has served as President of HonorHealth Foundation and its predecessors since 1990. A native of North Carolina, he holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from Baylor University and a J.D. degree from Cumberland School of Law of Samford University.
John’s background includes private law practice, banking, and over thirty years in charitable estate and financial planning with non-profits. John and his wife, Trish, have lived in Scottsdale since 1985.
An accomplished physician and leader, Stephanie Jackson, MD, FHM, focuses on patient safety and quality to ensure the best care is delivered to every patient, every time at HonorHealth. She leads a team of chief medical officers as well as patient safety, infection prevention, regulatory and quality professionals and the clinical analytics division.
Dr. Jackson joined HonorHealth in 2015. Her prior leadership experience includes serving as the system patient safety officer at PeaceHealth, a not-for-profit Catholic health system with operations in Alaska, Washington and Oregon. There, she led efforts to eliminate healthcare-associated harm with a focus on quality and process improvement, analytics and infection prevention.
Dr. Jackson has over 20 years of clinical experience serving previously as the lead hospitalist for the Oregon Medical Group, a multi-specialty physician-owned group with more than 100 providers and 13 locations in Eugene, Oregon. Prior to becoming a hospitalist, Dr. Jackson was a traditional internist with a focus on diabetes care in Billings, Montana.
Dr. Jackson graduated with a bachelor’s degree in cell biology/biochemistry from Cornell University and earned her MD from Washington University School of Medicine. She is board certified in internal medicine.
As the chief physician executive, John Neil, MD, brings deep and varied leadership experience, an understanding of the changing local and national healthcare environment, and sensitivity to the complexities and challenges of medical practice which are unique to HonorHealth.
Dr. Neil, a highly regarded interventional radiologist, drives physician engagement throughout HonorHealth, working with a guiding principle to ensure that physicians have input and involvement in the decision-making processes of the health system. His work with clinical teams enables strategic initiatives, enhances operations, integrates clinical services and strengthens the continuum of patient care.
He joined HonorHealth as the senior physician leader in 2015, and he has held leadership roles with the organization’s medical staff, Scottsdale Health Partners and the HonorHealth Board of Directors. His professional experience includes serving as the chairman of SMIL, a large radiology practice that has been active in ambulatory development, practice mergers and joint ventures.
He is board certified with the American Board of Radiology with a Certificate of Added Qualification in Vascular and Interventional Radiology. He holds a bachelor’s degree in biochemistry from the University of Kansas and graduated with honors from Washington University School of Medicine.
As Senior Vice President and Chief Information Officer, Chuck Scully brings 35 years of healthcare IT experience and leadership to HonorHealth’s information systems operations.
Chuck has a passion for ensuring caregivers have the information they need to provide the best possible care to HonorHealth’s patients. Because of his collaborative efforts, HonorHealth is unique in its degree of information technology integration. When a patient comes to any HonorHealth facility for any type of service, the patient’s healthcare provider has the ability to see that patient’s medical history across all care settings, optimizing patient convenience and safety.
Prior to joining HonorHealth, Chuck served as CIO of Renown Health and CIO of Catholic Health Systems.
Chuck holds a bachelor’s degree in economics/computer science from the University at Albany - SUNY and a master’s degree in administrative science from the Carey Business School at Johns Hopkins University.
Alice Pope joined HonorHealth in April 2016 as Senior Vice President and Chief Financial Officer for the hospital system. Ms. Pope directs the investment & treasury management, revenue cycle, financial reporting, financial planning, decision support, internal audit, supply chain, and payor contracting functions.
Prior to joining HonorHealth, Ms. Pope served as chief financial officer for Wellmont Health System. Alice began her career at Arthur Andersen LLP, where she was involved primarily within the firm’s audit practice in Atlanta, GA and Memphis, TN. A certified public accountant, she has nearly 30 years of experience in finance, including over 20 years in healthcare.
Ms. Pope’s professional memberships include Healthcare Financial Management Association, where she is a member of the Large Healthcare System CFO Council, Health Management Academy, Arizona State University’s W.P. Carey School of Business Dean’s Council, and a board member for the Arizona Society of Certified Public Accountants. Pope holds a bachelor’s degree in commerce, with a concentration in accounting, from the University of Virginia and a master’s in business administration from East Tennessee State University.
Richard Silver, MD, leads HonorHealth's organizational focus on developing an integrated network to improve the health and well-being of the community.
He partners with physicians, community resources and patients to proactively provide and create access to care and services through HonorHealth's hospitals, primary care and specialty care locations, and other services.
Dr. Silver joined the organization in December 2008, serving initially as director of the employed hospitalist program at HonorHealth Scottsdale Thompson Peak Medical before being named chief medical officer of Scottsdale Healthcare Medical Group.
He is originally from Philadelphia, where he was the president and founder of Prime Health Network, a 21-physician private practice, and chairman of the board of Renaissance, a physician-owned disease management company in which Prime Health participated. He was trained at Thomas Jefferson University and is board certified in internal medicine with added qualifications in geriatrics.
With both clinical and business expertise, Kim Post, DNP, MBA, RN, fosters a sense of collaboration among the healthcare team in an environment focused on clinical quality, safety and an exceptional patient experience.
As the CEO-Hospitals and Chief Clinical Officer, Kim‘s strong collaborative skills enhance HonorHealth’s ability to work towards the common goal of exceptional patient care in partnership with our physicians.
Kim joined then named Scottsdale Memorial Hospital in 1991 as a staff nurse and has worked her way up through the growing organization to her current position, which will lead the hospitals to exemplar performance in quality, safety, patient experience and financial performance.
She completed her Doctorate of Nursing Practice in 2012 at Case Western Reserve University, an Executive Fellowship at the Wharton School of Business at University of Pennsylvania in 2009 and a Master's of Business Administration at the University of Phoenix in 2000.
Gary Baker leads HonorHealth Scottsdale Shea Medical Center, a community teaching hospital offering adult and pediatric services, cancer treatment and innovative research, and HonorHealth Scottsdale Osborn Medical Center, with services including a Level 1 Trauma Center, a family medicine residency program and a unique trauma/medical training center for the U.S. military.
Gary led the cancer services partnership and the formation of the HonorHealth Virginia G. Piper Cancer Care Network.
Prior to joining the organization in 1989, he worked at the University of Illinois Hospital in Chicago as the clinical manager in Pharmacy. Gary is a fellow in the American College of Healthcare Executives.
He has served as a board member and board chairman for the Arizona Hospital and Healthcare Association and as a board member for the Scottsdale Captive Insurance company. He earned both his bachelor's degree in Pharmacy and master's degree from the University of Illinois. He has completed a post graduate residency at the University of Illinois Hospital.
David Price, MHA, MBA, joined the organization in June 2011 as vice president, Clinical & Support Services at John C. Lincoln Medical Center. He brought with him more than 10 years of experience working in health systems in Minneapolis and in San Diego before joining Banner Health in 2000, first as director of planning.
His prior experience includes associate administrator at Banner Desert Medical Center and Cardon Children's Medical Center, a 649-bed hospital campus in Mesa, Arizona. In his work in operations, he oversaw expansion, increased patient volume, added successful service lines, enhanced the patient experience, improved the productivity of his departments and increased revenues.
He holds a master's degree in Healthcare Administration, Managed Care and an MBA, Finance, both from the University of Minnesota in Minneapolis. He is a member of the American College of Healthcare Executives, and he serves as a volunteer and an advisory leader for the American Cancer Society, Phoenix Metropolitan Division, and as a volunteer for Junior Achievement.
