About
HonorHealth Cancer Care gives you access to an elite team of experts across the Valley. The physicians we collaborate with are nationally and internationally recognized.
Erkut Borazanci, MD’s areas of focus are clinical trials, and the early detection of pancreatic cancer. He offers many specialized treatments, including Phase 1, first-in-human trials and novel therapeutics for pancreatic cancer, as well as the ability to participate in the development of new methods of early detection.
On his approach to treatment, medication and the road to recovery, Dr. Borazanci says, “I believe that pancreatic cancer requires a multidisciplinary approach utilizing physicians like gastroenterologists, radiologists, oncologists and surgeons. Our nurse practitioners are essential as they not only focus on improving symptoms, but they develop research programs for support and intervention for pancreatic cancer.
“It is also essential that we focus on nutrition, physical activity and physical/occupational therapy to improve the strength of individuals with pancreatic cancer. We incorporate genomics in our treatments trying to understand both what the patient may have inherited from their family – and what mutations are in their cancer – with the hope we can find targeted therapy.”
