Overview

Services offered

Cardiac rehab provides monitored exercise and counseling after you leave the hospital following a heart-related medical issue. Cardiac rehab is appropriate for patients who've experienced:

  • Heart attacks.
  • Angioplasty/stents.
  • Coronary artery bypass grafts.
  • Valve surgery.
  • Heart failure.

Your heart health can benefit from the individualized rehab services provided by a team that can include doctors, nurses, exercise physiologists, dietitians and social workers.

You'll receive counseling about how to exercise safely, eat healthier and reduce your stress levels. You'll be on a monitored exercise program to regain your strength and emotional well-being, and reduce your risk of future heart events.

All services require physician prescriptions. Insurance coverage varies, so please check with your insurer.
