Insurance plans accepted at HonorHealth

Updated: July 15, 2026

Note: Insurance plan updates typically occur in early January each year or as needed, should any changes occur during the calendar year.

AZ Blue Best Life (HMO) Medicare Advantage changes

  • Effective July 1, 2026: AZ Blue Best Life (HMO) Medicare Advantage removed HonorHealth primary care providers (PCPs) from its network. This decision was made by AZ Blue and was outside of HonorHealth's control.
  • Effective Jan. 1, 2027: As a result of the change to the in-network status of HonorHealth’s PCPs, as of Jan. 1, 2027, HonorHealth, including all employed physicians, specialists and facilities, will no longer be in network with AZ Blue Best Life (HMO) Medicare Advantage network.

Please note: These changes apply only to AZ Blue Best Life (HMO) Medicare Advantage plans. HonorHealth continues to be in network with all other Blue Cross Blue Shield of Arizona plans.

See more information about these changes.

HonorHealth accepts most insurance plans at its hospitals and provider offices. However, it’s important that you contact your insurance plan to verify your coverage before you seek services.

In addition, independent physicians who work in the hospitals sometimes accept different insurance plans than those accepted at HonorHealth. Always verify coverage of physicians – such as surgeons, anesthesiologists, pathologists, radiologists and hospitalists – before you receive care. And remember — independent physicians are required to bill you or your insurance separately from HonorHealth.

Please see the last page for “Key Terms”.
