Mindy Magoon, NP

Mindy Magoon, DNP, FNP-C is a family nurse practitioner with clinical interests in comprehensive primary care, chronic disease management, women’s health, diabetes care, thyroid disease and autoimmune disorders. Before becoming an NP, she worked in critical care and the ICU, experiences that strengthened her clinical judgment, assessment skills and commitment to patient advocacy.

Mindy takes a holistic, wellness-focused approach to care shaped in part by her own experiences with chronic illness and autoimmune disease. She combines preventive strategies, lifestyle modifications, patient education and evidence-based treatments while partnering with patients through shared decision-making and helping them become active participants in their health.

Originally from Northern California, Mindy has lived in Arizona for more than two decades and now calls the West Valley home. A proud mom of three, she is also a nursing professor for BSN students and precepts and also mentors FNP students. She loves teaching and supporting the next generation of nurses and nurse practitioners. Outside of work, she enjoys spending time with her family, being outdoors and relaxing near the beach.
