Mohanad Hasan, MD

Mohanad Hasan, MD, is a board-certified interventional cardiologist with advanced fellowship training in structural heart disease interventions. He completed comprehensive training at Ochsner Clinic Foundation in cardiovascular disease, interventional cardiology and structural heart interventions and brings specialized expertise in minimally invasive cardiovascular procedures.

Hasan provides interventional cardiology care with a focus on complex coronary interventions and advanced structural heart therapies. His procedural expertise includes transcatheter aortic valve replacement (TAVR), mitral and tricuspid valve interventions, and left atrial appendage closure. He also performs mechanical circulatory support, patent foramen ovale (PFO) and atrial septal defect (ASD) closure, and mechanical thrombectomy for pulmonary embolism and deep vein thrombosis. In addition, he interprets nuclear cardiology and vascular studies.

Dr. Hasan’s approach to care combines evidence-based interventional techniques with individualized decision-making. He carefully evaluates each patient’s anatomy, clinical status and goals to determine the most appropriate treatment, emphasizing clear communication, shared decision-making and minimally invasive options whenever possible, with a strong focus on safety, outcomes and long-term quality of life.

Outside of medicine, Dr. Hasan enjoys road biking and hiking. He finds fulfillment in helping patients regain their quality of life and values building honest, meaningful relationships with those in his care. Dr. Hasan is fluent in both English and Arabic.
