Readiness Skill Sustainment Training Program (RSSTP)
This hallmark program was first developed with the Arizona Air National Guard to meet pre-deployment training needs. The course originally was structured for the Guard and Reserve components to fulfill their Annual Training Readiness/Critical Skills requirements. Its success has expanded to Active Duty personnel. We partner with Maricopa Integrated Health System, Scottsdale Fire Department and Phoenix Fire Department to offer trauma, burn, first responders, intensive care unit, pediatric trauma and operating room experiences.
HonorHealth has contractual agreements with the US Air Force Reserve, Air and Army National Guard as well as the US Army Reserve Western Medical Area Readiness Support Group. We also have agreements with several active duty Air Force and Army units.
This program includes skills refresher training, trauma lectures, over 12 hours of simulation and approximately 40 hours of clinical duties. Clinical rotations are customized, hands-on experiences that enable military personnel to practice needed skills, particularly in preparation for deployment. We are able to accommodate up to 6 nurses and medics, and the following ancillary medical specialties:
- Dietary
- Pharmacy
- Physical Therapy
- Radiology
- Respiratory Therapy
- Surgical
We are able to accommodate a dentist / dental tech team through our community outreach program. Please email Lenore for more information.
