At HonorHealth your health and well-being come first. To strengthen that commitment, we have signed an agreement to acquire select Evernorth Care Group locations, expanding access to trusted care across the Valley.
Evernorth Care Group and HonorHealth remain separate until closing, which is expected to occur in January 2026. This page will keep you updated and supported as the transition moves forward.
HonorHealth accepts most insurance plans at its hospitals and care centers, including Cigna Healthcare. For more information on the insurance plans we accept, please visit our insurance page.

We’re excited to introduce the skilled physicians and advanced practice providers (APP) who will be transitioning from Evernorth Care Group to HonorHealth. Each one brings years of experience and a shared commitment to delivering exceptional healthcare.

At HonorHealth, we’re committed to delivering exceptional care close to home. As part of this transition, we’re acquiring the 11 Evernorth Care Group Primary Care locations shown on the map below.
Your appointments
Appointments scheduled on or after Jan. 1, 2026, will automatically transition to HonorHealth based on where your doctor will continue seeing patients. You will receive appointment reminders via email or through MyChart. If you see a physician that will not join HonorHealth or any of your scheduled appointments need to be updated as a result of the transition, Evernorth Care Group will contact you directly prior to the transaction closing.

A: In September, HonorHealth announced an agreement to acquire Evernorth Care Group locations. Upon completion of the transaction in January 2026, patients of Evernorth Care Group will have more options for high-quality care through the HonorHealth network of hospitals and clinics throughout the Valley.

A: The acquisition is expected to be finalized in January 2026.
Q: Why is HonorHealth acquiring Evernorth Care Group?
A: This acquisition enables us to offer more locations, services and providers to support our growing communities, while keeping the high-quality primary care you know and trust.
Q: Will all Evernorth Care Group physicians and APPs join HonorHealth?
A: Most Evernorth Care Group Arizona-based physicians and APPs will be transitioning to HonorHealth. Evernorth physicians and APPs remain employees of Cigna Healthcare until the acquisition closes. Both teams are working closely to ensure a smooth, supportive transition for you and your care.
Q: What is the plan for transitioning a patient’s care?
A: Nothing changes immediately, and you should continue with your existing care plan. HonorHealth and Evernorth Care Group are committed to a smooth transition of patient care upon close. As we near close, a communication and care continuity plan will be implemented so all Evernorth Care Group patients feel supported and have a smooth transition.
Q: Will patients need to take action to transfer their medical records when the transaction closes?
A: Evernorth patients can continue to access their records as they have previously. Evernorth Care Group and HonorHealth remain separate until closing, which we expect to occur in January 2026.
