Bronchoscopic lung volume reduction

If you’re living with severe emphysema, you deserve options that help you feel more like yourself again.

At HonorHealth, we offer a minimally invasive treatment called bronchoscopic lung volume reduction (BLVR) with Zephyr® valves. These tiny one-way valves help shunt air away from the most damaged parts of your lungs, making it easier for the healthier parts to work. That can mean less breathlessness, more energy and a better quality of life.

A clear path to better breathing

When you choose HonorHealth, you’re not just getting advanced treatment — you’re getting a team who listens, supports and stands with you.

Here’s what you can expect:

  • A dedicated program coordinator to guide you through your entire treatment journey
  • An expert team led by an interventional pulmonologist with advanced training in lung procedures
  • A thoughtful, thorough evaluation process to ensure bronchoscopic lung volume reduction is right for you
  • Streamlined testing and appointments for a smooth, coordinated care experience
  • Access to state-of-the-art facilities at HonorHealth Shea Medical Center

  2. Complete a series of diagnostic tests to determine if you’re a candidate.
  3. Review your results with one of our interventional pulmonologists.
  4. If you qualify, schedule your procedure — a bronchoscopy for valve placement.
