Hannah Copeland, MD

Hannah Copeland, MD, is a board-certified cardiothoracic surgeon with specialized expertise in advanced cardiac care. She focuses on complex cardiovascular conditions, including heart failure therapies and cardiogenic shock management. 

Dr. Copeland provides comprehensive surgical treatment for a wide range of cardiac conditions, including valvular disease, endocarditis, aortic pathology and advanced heart failure. She performs specialized procedures such as coronary artery bypass grafting (CABG), valve and aortic replacement, ventricular assist device (VAD) implantation and extracorporeal membrane oxygenation (ECMO). Her extensive surgical expertise enables her to manage even the most complex and critical cardiovascular cases. 

Dr. Copeland's approach to care centers on treating the whole patient, not just the disease. She takes time to understand each patient’s physical and emotional needs, discuss concerns and develop comprehensive treatment plans. Beyond the operating room, she emphasizes post-operative nutrition and physical rehabilitation to support recovery and long-term wellness.  

Originally from New York, Dr. Copeland is family-oriented and enjoys spending time with loved ones at basketball games, swim meets and dance recitals. She stays active through walking, running and hiking in nature.
