About
Dr. Bhakta’s areas of formal training and current focus include coronary artery disease, cardiac death risk stratification, including genetic disorders such as hypertrophic cardiomyopathy, valvular disease, advanced cardiac physiology and heart failure. He offers many specialized treatments, including supervision and interpretation of advanced stress testing and imaging, intracoronary physiology, percutaneous coronary intervention, patent foramen ovale closure, atrial septal defect closure (hole in the heart), and left atrial appendage occlusion.
Dr. Bhakta believes in getting to know each of his patients on an individual basis. With every new patient, he takes into consideration life and socioeconomic stressors, values and beliefs, barriers to treatment options and recovery plans. He takes great pride in partnering with his patients and their families when developing a treatment plan.
Outside of medicine Dr. Bhakta enjoys staying physically active, playing organized sports, and relaxing outdoors.
