Deer Valley Medical Center expansion project overview

Project overview

The project is an investment of $170 million and will be completed in phases over a two-year period. It will include:

  • The construction of a new, one-story support services building, adding nearly 23,000 square feet of space. This phase includes a larger loading dock, and a dedicated team member and vendor entrance, as well as the construction of a tunnel leading from the building to Pavilion 1 to allow for easier and more efficient service delivery.
  • A two-story addition to our surgery area, adding 14,000 square feet of space and four new operating rooms.
  • The construction of a new four-story building, Pavilion 3, with 166,000 square feet of space that will:
    • Accommodate 34 new patient beds.
    • Provide for the expansion and renovation of key departments, such as food services, lab and pharmacy.
    • Have shelled space on the third and fourth floors, as well as part of the first floor, to allow for additional future growth.

With these new areas on campus, more defined zones for patient care and comfort will be established, both inside and outside the facility. This will help improve wayfinding and traffic flow on our campus for all who work at HonorHealth Deer Valley Medical Center or come to us for care.
