Understanding Childbirth - Shea, Class Series

PLEASE NOTE: This series meets in-person on June 13, 20 and 27.

Class fee is for expecting mom and partner/support person. If you are bringing a partner/support person, you must register them under "guest".

Our Understanding Childbirth class is a series of 2.5-hour classes that meet once a week for three consecutive weeks. These in-person classes will help you and your partner prepare for the physical and emotional experiences that may come with your labor, delivery, and postpartum periods. Classes are taught by an HonorHealth Labor & Delivery RN. While this class may be taken any time during pregnancy, it is suggested to take this series near the beginning of the 3rd trimester.

The classes will meet once a week for three weeks on the following dates:

  • First class: 6/13/23
  • Second class: 6/20/23
  • Third class: 6/27/23

  • Pregnancy
  • Labor
  • Comfort Techniques
  • Medical Procedures
  • Cesarean Birth
  • Newborns
  • Postpartum

The class will be held in the Brady Conference Center at the Scottsdale Shea Medical Center. The conference center is located on the first floor.
