Whether you have an appointment scheduled or would like to make a new one, your HonorHealth care team is here for you. Our doctors are now offering video visits for urgent care and routine care. We will continue to offer in-person clinic visits when it is medically appropriate.

We are also offering virtual care for suspected COVID-19 symptoms. If ordered by your doctor, drive-through COVID-19 testing may be available.

    Q: What is a virtual visit?

    A: Virtual visits allow you to receive the care you need without leaving your home. They are similar to face-to-face visits — the doctor will review your symptoms, answer questions, write prescriptions and refills, and discuss your care plan.

    Q. Which types of appointments can be done with a virtual visit?

    A: If you’re not sure if a virtual visit is right for you, call your provider’s office to discuss your questions. Typically, any type of appointment that does not require a physical examination can be done virtually, including:

    • Chronic disease management, including diabetes, asthma, COPD and high blood pressure 
    • Cold or flu symptoms
    • Hospital and urgent care follow up 
    • Insomnia or other sleep concern
    • Minor skin issues
    • Pink eye 
    • Routine medication checks and refills
    • Seasonal allergies
    • Stress, anxiety, and depression 
    • Test result review
    • Upset stomach or heartburn
    • Urinary tract infections
    • Weight loss or nutrition consultation with your doctor or a dietitian 

    Q. How much does a virtual visit cost?

    A: Your virtual will cost the same as a face-to-face visit, including any co-pays you normally have. Virtual visits are covered by private health insurance, Medicare and Medicaid. If your doctor decides that you need to be seen in the office, you will not be charged for your virtual visit. 

    Q. How does a virtual visit work?

    A: About 15 minutes before your appointment, your doctor’s office will send a link from to the cell phone number or email address you provided. To start the appointment, you will click on the link and enter your name. You will wait on the virtual “waiting room” until your provider connects with you. Please note: You may be asked to allow access to your microphone and camera. You will need to turn these on to have a virtual visit.

    Q. What kind of device will I need?

    A: You will need to use a computer or tablet with a working camera, speakers and microphone or a smartphone. Make sure you are somewhere with a good connection to the internet.

    We recommend using the newest phone or device that you have available since some older phones may have trouble connecting. For example, use your spouse’s phone if it is newer than yours.

    Q. How do I refill my prescription?

    A: To obtain a medication refill please contact your pharmacy directly. The pharmacist can request a refill electronically. This process can take up to 3 business days. Or you can submit a medication refill request via MyChart.
